How to Prepare for Your NDIS Plan Review

How to Prepare for Your NDIS Plan Review

Your plan review isn't a test โ€” it's an opportunity. It's the moment to reflect on what's working, what's changed, and what you want to achieve next. A little preparation makes an enormous difference to the outcome.

Reflect on your goals

Start by revisiting the goals in your current plan. Which did you reach? Which shifted? Life changes, and your plan should change with it.

Gather your evidence

The NDIA makes decisions based on evidence, so bring it. Reports from your therapists, letters from your GP and notes on your daily support paint a clear picture of what's reasonable and necessary.

If you take one thing to a review, make it evidence. Goals explain the why; evidence proves the need.

Lean on your coordinator

A Support Coordinator can compile a progress report, help you articulate your goals and prepare you for the conversation. You don't have to walk in alone โ€” and you shouldn't have to.

Speak up for what you need

Finally, be honest about what daily life actually requires. Under-asking is one of the most common reasons plans fall short. Describe a real day, name the gaps, and let the evidence do the rest.

Need a hand getting review-ready? Our coordination team does this every week โ€” we'd be glad to help you prepare.
